Child marriage amendment bill introduction by Smriti Irani

The child marriage amendment bill has been introduced in India. In which age for

marriage of  the child will be 21 from 18 which will imply on all communities besides

caste and creed. In Lok sabha minister for women and child development

Smriti Irani introduced this bill. Which proposed amendments in the existing 2006

bill regarding child marriage.

Smriti Irani said that this bill will be for all communities and give equal rights to

all women.

Facts 

All women from all faiths, under Hindu Marriage Act or the Muslim Personal Law,

should get equal rights to marry,”

This bill will empower women and help them to focus on careers and skills.

according to UNICEF Estimates suggest that each year, at least 1.5 million girls under 18 get married in India, which makes it home to the largest number of child brides in the world.accounting for a third of the global total. 

Nearly 16 per cent of adolescent girls

aged 15-19 are currently married. under such circumstances, this bill will be a boon

for women.

Why opposition rise? 

This bill deemed to be passed on the same day but opposition rise against the

process, the bill has certain stages to pass which was about to skip due to the

opposition demand it proceeded to the

Discussion, standing committee and joint committee which is crucial part in the

life of the bill.

Benefit

I like this bill, it is something like giving strength to women. Today we can find

that in urban as well as rural areas, till 18 age of women parents start to looking for

a suitable life partner for her daughter by future perspective, due to this reason

women lack independence on her own and sometimes being the subject of

domestic violence once women will be empowered or matured she will be at least

matured to handle all kind of responsibility.

And also this will help to reduce the age gap between the generation. As I always

said that women condition in a country reflects the development of that country.

This amendment is looking like a boon for women which can take India to the path

of development and reduce domestic violence cases too.

  बाल विवाह संशोधन विधेयक 

 भारत में बाल विवाह संशोधन विधेयक पेश किया गया है ।

जिसके तहत विवाह के लिए बच्चा 18 में से 21 वर्ष का होगा, जिसका प्रभाव सभी जाति और पंथ समुदायों पर समान होगा। लोकसभा में महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री स्मृति ईरानी ने यह बिल पेश किया। जो मौजूदा 2006 में संशोधन प्रस्तावित किया गया । बाल विवाह के संबंध में विधेयक स्मृति ईरानी ने कहा कि यह बिल सभी समुदायों के लिए होगा और सभी महिलाओं को समान अधिकार देगा।

 स्मृति ईरानी के अनुसार : हिंदू विवाह अधिनियम या मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ के तहत सभी धर्मों की सभी महिलाएं, शादी करने का समान अधिकार मिलना चाहिए।"

 यह विधेयक महिलाओं को सशक्त करेगा और उन्हें करियर और कौशल पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने में मदद करेगा।

तथ्य 

 यूनिसेफ के अनुसार अनुमान बताते हैं कि हर साल 18 साल से कम उम्र की कम से कम 15 लाख लड़कियों की शादी में होती है भारत, जो इसे दुनिया में सबसे अधिक बाल वधू का घर बनाता है। वैश्विक कुल का एक तिहाई हिस्सा। लगभग 16 प्रतिशत किशोरियाँ 15-19 वर्ष की आयु में वर्तमान में विवाहित हैं। ऐसी स्थिति में यह बिल महिलाओं के लिए वरदान साबित होगा।

विपक्ष क्यों? 

 इस बिल को उसी दिन पारित माना जाता , लेकिन विपक्ष खिलाफ में उठा तथा नियमित बिल के चरण के लिए आवाज उठाई विपक्ष की मांग यह आगे बढ़ी जिसके कारण चर्चा, स्थायी समिति और संयुक्त समिति में यह बिल प्रक्रिया के लिए बढ़ाया गया। जो बिल का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है ।

विधयेक के फायदे 

 मुझे यह बिल पसंद है, यह महिलाओं को ताकत देने जैसा है। आज हम पा सकते हैं कि शहरी और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में, 18 वर्ष की आयु तक माता-पिता महिलाओं के लिए सुयोग्य वर की तलाश करना शुरू कर देते हैं।

 इस कारण से महिलाओं में अपने आप में स्वतंत्रता की कमी होती है और कभी-कभी वे घरेलू हिंसा का शिकार होती हैं।

 एक बार जब महिलाएं सशक्त होंगी या परिपक्व होंगी तो वह सभी प्रकार की जिम्मेदारी संभालने के लिए परिपक्व होंगी।

 और यह भी पीढ़ी के बीच उम्र के अंतर को कम करने में मदद करेगा।  

मैं हमेशा की तरह कहती हूं कि: 

 "किसी देश में महिलाओं की स्थिति

 उस देश के विकास को दर्शाती है"

यह संशोधन महिलाओं के लिए वरदान के रूप में दिख रहा है। जो भारत को विकास पथ पर ले जा सकता है साथ ही घरेलू हिंसा के मामलों को भी कम करने में मदद करेगा।
